We recently took a trip to Heatherton World of Activities which is a local Attraction approximately 5 miles from Hungerford Farm Touring Caravan and Motorhome Park. Other than for Children’s parties held in their indoor soft play area we hadn’t visited the park to explore the main attractions for many years. We where keen to see what had changed over the years and more importantly what was on offer to keep our active 5 year old son entertained.
The main thing that sets Heatherton apart from other attractions in the area is that there is no entry fee and you only pay for the attractions that you want to go on. This really strengthens the case for it being a day out for all the family as it allows the parents and grandparents to sit down and relax whilst the younger members of the family burn off their excess energy on the activities.
The first attraction to catch our eye upon arrival was the Walk on water where you enter a giant ball and literally walk on the surface of the pond (trying to stay upright. We then moved onto Next we went onto the Pembs raceway slot car racing, Pistol shooting, crazy Golf, Bumper boats and Archery. Just as we thought we had seen everything we were directed through and underpass to the second half of the park which had more to offer with anything from high ropes to paintball games and mazes and giant jumping pillows. There’s even something for our four legged friends with a dog agility course.
Most of the attractions are outside so Heatherton probably wouldn’t make it onto our wet day list however its ideal if its overcast or with the odd shower.
Heatherton World of Activities www.heatherton.co.uk really does have something to offer all ages and it’s a great alternative to the traditional theme park. So next time you stay at Hungerford Farm touring caravan and Motorhome Park why not take a look.
