Ironman Wales

2.4mile swim, 112 mile Bike, 26.2 mile run. Held in September this is one of the areas greatest sporting events. The main event is held in Tenby town with the 1500 athletes entering the towns North Beach before embarking on a bike ride that stretches to Angle in the west and then up to Narberth. Seafair Haven

Held from the 23rd – 30th June Seafair Haven sees traditional boats of all shapes and sizes from tall ships to 10ft rowing boats travelling to the area from all over the UK and Europe to enjoy the Milford Haven waterway.  During the day the fleets visit various ports along the waterway which offer a great spectacle from the shore before returning to Lawrenny for a fun packed programme of entertainment open to all. http://www.seafairhaven.org.uk/

 

Narberth Food Festival

Held in late September Narberth food festival sees the town turn into a culinary hub with the town playing host to cookery demonstrations from top celebrity chefs and stalls selling the very best food. This event is a must go for any food lover. http://www.narberthfoodfestival.com/

 

Tenby Summer Spectacular

During August the Tenby round table host a great day of entertainment set within Tenby Harbour you will see live bands and stalls topped off with an amazing firework display overlooking the bay.

 

Landshipping fun day and raft race

Held within the small waterside village of Landshipping the fun day is a great community run event which sees teams build rafts which they then sail across the estuary to collect the ingredients to make a pancake upon their return. This great event seems to be growing in popularity year on year with stalls and great beer.

 

 

Saundersfoot festival by the sea

Usually held upon the first weekend in December the three day event kicks off on the Friday with a lantern parade through the village followed by two days of cookery demos, live music, stalls, funfair and Santa’s grotto. www.visitsaundersfootbay.com

 

Pembrokeshire Fish week

Pembrokeshire fish week kicks off with a fun packed day of stalls and cookery demonstrations followed by a week of activities held in various locations throughout Pembrokeshire from fish filleting courses to beach foraging. River Carnival

Each year Lawrenny Yacht club hold an extra special event which sees up to 150 boats of all shapes and sizes travel from Lawrenny Quay to Cresswell quay. Local boat owners take great pride in dressing their boats in themes with anything from Titanic to Back to the future or Willy wonka’s chocolate factory.
